Manufacturing robots have historically been pretty dumb. That is, they require months of intense programming with detailed directions on where and how to move, with microscopic precision. Intrinsic is building a new brand of manufacturing robots that can observe and learn from their environment, and take higher-level direction. As in, “Hey, pick up that thing over there!” Pretty cool, huh?

ABOUT KATH

Kath Tolentino’s films have screened and won awards at Palm Springs International Shortfest, Short of the Week, Hamptons International Film Festival, and Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, among many others. She holds an MFA in Film Directing from Brooklyn College and is currently a Senior Creative and Film Director at Across the Pond, a branded content agency in San Francisco.
